Today, a day late, I opened my Secret Santa present from a supposedly unkown colleague at work. The present consisted of a variety of toiletries and foods. The bad in which it was presented was beautiful. I was very pleased with my present, pleased that I had received a present on the first place in this difficult times, and pleased that my present was different, original, useable and lasting. I am going away shortly so having small samples of toiletries and biscuits is handy. The packet of noodles I can keep at work for a rainy day when I forget my lunch. So there I was feeling quite pleased when I noticed some of my colleagues’ reactions. They thought my present was a joke and not very good but at least the bag looked good. I find it hard to understand their reaction to my present. I had not expectations, this was an extra present, an unexpected one and I feel so happy to receive it, I can use it straight away and it will last me a long time. I can savour it for days.
