Individuality versus Community

We are told so often how important it is to be ourselves nowadays, to follow our own path and find our own truth that we forget that we also have a need as human beings to belong to a community. Being part of a group or a community can provides us with a sense of identity, a sense of belonging, a sense that we are the whole is more than the union of its parts, a secure emotional and spiritual base and a fun way to share our lives. A community can provide shared values and shared sanctions, it can ratify our beliefs and make us stronger in our deeds and actions, it can sharpen our thinking and soften our approach so it is more encompassing of others, it can makes us more tolerant. There are plenty of communities out there we can adhere to starting with our own families, place of work or spiritual and relgious groups. Let’s enjoy the feeling of belonging and of contributing to something larger than us. What communities are you part of?

About Malena 113

I am a light worker. I was born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain in the early seventies and first came to England in my late teens. From then on I visited a few times, came to do some sightseeing, studied and finally settled down to work. Reiki found me in the early 2000 as a continuation of my spiritual development. I achieved Masters in Reiki in 2010 and have trained other people since. I am currently studying Theta Healing, another modality of healing. I also work with angels and archangels and they are now part of my everyday life.
