The Law of Attraction by By Donald Michael Kraig

If you’re like many people, you’ve tried to work with the basic concepts of the Law of Attraction as described in the book, The Secret. And, if you’re like most people, you’ve discovered that you weren’t successful. The Law of Attraction in its current form is only a century old, but the basic concept is quite ancient. Superficially, the Law of Attraction states that if you simply focus on something you can obtain it. But that is only a superficial understanding.

The Law of Attraction does work, but you need to use the depth of the technique, not the shallow presentation that so many profess. Where can you learn these deeper secrets? The answer is in the Kabalah.

You’ve probably heard about the Kabalah. Famous personalities from Madonna to Roseanne have supported it, but what is it? Simply put, the Kabalah forms the spiritual underpinnings of Western faiths going back to Abraham. It includes mystical interpretations of the Bible and the practical use of that information. Yes, it includes concepts of the Law of Attraction. The 13th-cenury mystical book, Iggaret Ha-Kodesh (The Holy Letter), attributed to the Jewish sage Nachmanides, intimates the basics. And it is within the Kabalah that we can find the secrets to making the Law of Attraction really work.

SECRET ONE: Emotions

One of the ways of understanding the universe according to the Kabalah is by seeing it as having four “worlds.” The first world equates to the concept of need. That is, you conceive of a need for something. The second world is that of mind. In this world you mentally construct a solution to the need. The third world, that of formation, is where you make the solution, and the fourth world is that of action, where you use the solution.

These four worlds are often shown as parts of the symbol that is intrinsic to the Kabalah known as the Tree of Life. The parts of the Tree associated with the third world are also associated with the emotions. That means by adding your emotions to the Law of Attraction you are more likely to succeed.

When you come up with a desire you wish to manifest, don’t be mild and cold about it—get emotional! How will you feel when you have it? What will it be like when you have it? Don’t merely focus on the goal; focus on your active emotional participation with the goal. The greater the emotional involvement, the greater your potential success.

SECRET TWO: Action

The fourth world, where things you want to use the Law of Attraction to obtain are put into use, is the world of action. This is a vitally important concept. You can’t focus on something—even including your emotions—and then sit on your posterior and do nothing to gain it! There is yet another secret here: The Law of Attraction is going on all the time, not just during the few moments when you focus on your goal. If you spend five minutes focusing on your goal and then the rest of the day ignoring it, you’ve basically spent 23 hours and 55 minutes NOT attracting your goal.

To really get the Law of Attraction to work, you need to focus all your energies on achieving your goal. When relaxing, think about it. If you need extra money for it, get another job. If you need more information, read books or take classes. Whatever there is between you and your goal, direct all of your actions, as well as your thinking, toward achieving your desire.

Bring your emotions and passions into your desires and work to achieve those goals. Emotions and action, the two Kabalististic secrets, will make the Law of Attraction actually work and bring you closer to achieving your goals and desires.
