I had a wonderful day with my two children. They brought me breakfast in bed and we spent a day in Rays Farm. The farm is wonderful, the animals are very tame and we could touch them all. They were very friendly and we enjoyed stroking them. The walk by the river is also magical, it is full of wood carvings inside and near the trees and we took lots of photographs together with knomes, fairies and witches. A truly sensational day.
On the way there we listened and empathised with all the mothers whose children are figthing or keeping the peace abroad. The messages from the soldiers were heart wrenching as they had not seen their mothers in quite sometime and would not see them for another 6 months.
It made us think about the sacrificies that mothers do on a regular basis that can sometimes go unnoticed. We have full admiration for the mothers of these soldiers. I guess being a mother is about letting go even when your heart aches.
